Life As Dad

As a father who raised a special needs child before her death in 1992, I was moved to tears as I watched this trailer.

As Director of Photography, Andrew David Watson’s vision for “Life As Dad” tells a compelling story in this documentary that is deeply emotional and speaks of the issues facing one parent from the United States who has a child where the mother is from Japan.  Japanese law prevents the fathers parental rights from taking his handicapped son out of the country – even if it’s in the best interest of the child.

The outstanding visuals and subtle use of ambient audio in the trailer is heart wrenching.
